  Multi activity Children Summer Camp
2 week Activity Summer camp for kids in July and August for children from 8 to 11 years old with activities every morning in a summer camp with Spanish children.
Activity Summer camp for kids from 9:30–14:00 (around 160 children, mainly Spanish children) with specialised monitors:
- swimming,
- basketball,
- football,
- gymnastic,
- athletics,
- open air games,
- story telling…
Lunch at the Summer camp. As in the rest of Children Camps, children live in a family, have 3 Spanish lessons per day, visit the most interesting places in Alicante; have 1 full day excursion per week, are covered by insurance and they will be picked up and drop-off at the Alicante airport.

 Spanish lessons for children
Children go every day from Monday to Friday to Zador Spanish School to attend a Spanish language course for kids from 16:00 to 18:15 h.
Zador Spanish language school in Alicante occupies the first floor of a restored historical building, situated right in the Alicante city centre.
The Spanish language schol is very well situated. It is 7-10 minutes on foot from the beach, in a very dynamic and commercial area of Alicante city centre.
With Zador Spanish language lessons:
- Children work on a variety of skills: Speaking and Fluency, Interaction, Listening and Reading Comprehension, Writing.
- There is a great focus on oral skills so that children develop an ability to communicate in Spanish language.
- Children learn Spanish in small groups, with a maximum of 7 kids per class.
- Children learn Spanish with games, songs, vocabulary charts...
 Host family accommodation for children
Living with a Spanish family is one of the best ways to get to know the country, including its culture and its people. It will also allow children to practice the Spanish language in a natural way.
The majority of the host families are near the school, around 10 or 15 minutes walking.
If children live more than 20 minutes walking, we provide them with bus tickets to go to the language school. All the quarters of the city are connected to the centre by urban buses running every 10-15 minutes. A person from the host family or a group leader from Zador accompanies children to go to the School, the Sport Camp…
The families are selected and visited regularly by our staff. In all of them, children will find a warm atmosphere that will help them get integrated into the family and city life very quickly. Families usually have children with a similar age to the students.
The host family provides the bed linen and towels, but children must bring their own towels for the beach. Children will have laundry twice a week and they should keep their room clean and tidy, and share the housework with the rest of the family (“small tasks”).
As in any family around the world, there are also a series of rules children must follow: kids have to take into account that the house in Spain is considered a private family place. Therefore, if children want to have a guest over, they should ask permission, keeping in mind that in most cases the family will not fancy the idea.
All the children should arrive the evening before the beginning of the Spanish & Summer Camp and leave the accommodation the day after the end of the Programme. Days before or after are considered extra nights.
We provide parents all the information about the host family (house description and photos, personal details, hobbies, profession, age…. Of course, if parents want, the can visit the Host family).
 Meals at the Summer Camp
Regarding the meals, children will have full board with 4 meals:
- Breakfast: Breakfast in Spain usually consists of juice or yogurt, hot chocolate or coffee with milk, bread or biscuits, butter and jam or cereals.
- Sandwich (“Bocadillo”) to eat during the Summer Camp.
- Lunch: During the week, from Monday to Friday children will have lunch at the Camp Restaurant with 3 courses (starters, meat or fish and dessert).
- On Saturday children receive usually a packed lunch with two sandwiches (“bocadillos”), fruit and drink, thus they can enjoy the excursions and trips.
- On Sunday they have lunch with the host family.
Lunch time in Spain is between 2.00 p.m. and 3 p.m. and it is the biggest meal during the day and it is usually the meeting the whole family.
Dinner is around 21:00 during the week and there is not a fixed time during the weekends.
- Special requirements: children with special dietary requirements should make a note in the enrolment.
All children will receive a “Meal list” to choose their favorite dishes just as a suggestion for the host family.
- One week before the beginning of the Spanish Programme for Children, you will be supplied with the information concerning the accommodation: host family address, names, ages, profession, hobbies of the family and an email to contact them before arrival just to introduce them.
 Activities and excursions for children
Visits, culture, monuments, gastronomy, games at the beach…
After the Spanish lessons and during the weekend, all these things will make their stay the perfect language immersion for children.
- From Monday to Friday activities take approximately 2 hours depending on the activity.
- On Saturday or Sunday, the full day excursion takes approx. 8 hours.
- When a ticket entrance or a transport is necessary, the price is included in the Summer camp cost.
- Transport could be public or private (decision to be taken by Zador Spanish School).
A Zador Spanish School leader will accompany children during the activities.
The activities below are a selection of the most interesting activities for the children; they change every week and kids will take part in the activities planned during their stay:
- Visit to the Santa Barbara castle in Alicante: One of the biggest medieval fortresses in Europe.
- Bonfire Museum to know more about Fiestas in Alicante.
- Amusement Parks: Half or full day excursion to Terra Mítica Amusement Park., Terra Natura, animal Park. Aqualandia, aquatic Park or Mundomar Park.
- Excursions:
- Elche with the greatest palm grove in Europe: and World Cultural Heritage.
- Island of Tabarca: excursion on boat trip to the Island.
- Valencia, the City of Arts and Sciences:
- Excursion to Calpe.
- Excursion to Jijona visiting the Museum of Turrón to discover how to do the most typical Spanish sweet for Christmas.
- Excursion to Villajoyosa excursion visiting the Chocolate Museum.
- Other activities: Clue game through the city, games in the beach, shopping afternoon...
 Transfer and insurance
- Transfer service from Alicante airport:
Alicante has excellent connections with other cities in Spain and Europe. The majority of the students arrive by plane. The Alicante airport (El Altet) is located 11 km from Alicante and it takes about 30 min from the airport to the city centre. There are domestic and international flights that connect Alicante to the main European and Spanish cities.
Transfer service from Alicante airport, bus station or train station is included in the package price. A representative of the school will pick students up at the airport and bring them directly to their place of accommodation.
Fill in the corresponding section in the enrolment form, specifying clearly the Airline, the flight number, the date and time of your arrival. It is necessary a Parental Permission to pick the child up in case the minor travels alone. Since Alicante airport is small, you will quickly see a person with your name that will be waiting for you when you exit the terminal.
Zador Spanish school provides you a 24- hour pick-up service from the airport to go directly to the accommodation. From 22:00 to 8:00 there is an extra cost.
All the children are covered by a medical, accident and travel insurance, especially designed to cover contingencies in foreigners´ trips taken in Spain.
Medical assistance, with the highest limit on the market for illness or accident, with repatriation and relocation for health to your country of origin; robbery of, search for and localization of baggage; loss of services previously contracted; delays of trip and baggage; accident while travelling in Spain.
