Spanish preposition "desde"

The main uses for the Spanish preposition "desde".

- It is the equivalent of English "from" and "since".

- It express the start of a period of time.

Example: María y Pedro se conocen desde el año 2002. Desde que se conocieron, no se han separado. María está esperándote desde las 9 de la mañana.

- It express the starting point of a trip: Example He venido a pie desde la estación de tren.
